About Tom Darwood
Hi.
I’m a retired carpenter living with my sister and our lovely cat in Essex. Our late father first came to England during the Great Depression and immediately fell in love with England, in his own words, “I love her laws, her justice and everything about Britain.” In 1954 we left Shanghai, China (where I was born in 1946) to England and first lived in the wooden barracks of RAF Hornchurch, which was social housing at that time.
Within a few years we moved to a new house in Basildon, but sadly our dear mother suffered racial abuse which caused her to take her own life. This tragedy has always left an indelible mark on our family, but we are always grateful to our great father for bringing us to a better land. After this tragedy my father whom always read his bible after meals, only resumed his faith in God ten years after this injustice. As for myself, at the time I asked of God if he existed and convince me of his existence. In my adolescence I became a Christian and felt how much God has blessed Britain.
This short booklet Revive-all paints a picture of all that I love of this great country and pay tribute to its peoples and culture. It is my fervent hope at this tumultuous time of conflict it may inspire hope and aspiration to bring Britain into a new era. Under God’s guidance I step into the unknown.
